Refunds & Billing Policy

This policy explains how Knowledge Catalog charges for subscriptions, how cancellations work, and when you may be entitled to a refund. It works alongside the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

Updated 4 July 2026

1. Pricing and currency

All prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe.

2. Billing cycles

  • Monthly plans are billed every month in advance from the day you subscribe.
  • Yearly plans are billed once per year in advance from the day you subscribe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.

3. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals. You will keep access to paid features until the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, we do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a period after voluntary cancellation.

4. Consumer guarantees

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that services will be provided with due care and skill and be reasonably fit for purpose. If there is a major failure you may cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the service, or receive compensation for its reduced value; and you may be entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. If the failure is not major, you are entitled to have it rectified in a reasonable time.

5. Discretionary refunds

Outside your consumer-law rights, we will consider refunds where:

  • you were charged more than once for the same period;
  • we were unable to make the Service materially available to you for a substantial period; or
  • you were billed after we confirmed a cancellation.

Change of mind and unused subscription time are not, on their own, grounds for a refund.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@knowledgecatalog.com.au from the address on your account with the invoice number and a short description of what happened. We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe and generally settle within 5–10 business days.

7. Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry over the following days. During this period we may show payment warnings in the dashboard. If retries are unsuccessful we may suspend access until the balance is paid. We will not suspend access earlier than reasonably necessary.

8. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in immediate suspension while the dispute is investigated.

9. Price changes

Where a price change affects an existing recurring subscription we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app before it applies on your next renewal. You may cancel before the new price applies if you do not wish to continue.
